About Holgate Windmill
Holgate Windmill is Yorkshire’s only working windmill, standing proudly in Holgate, York. Built in the 18th century, the mill has survived changing ownership, new technology, and decades of quiet decline — and today it’s working once more thanks to dedicated volunteers.
