We’re looking forward to July as we will be starting our Summer Saturdays, which are extra events in the mill on open day Saturday afternoons. We begin on 2 July with a demonstration of traditional hand spinning from Madeline Evans of York and District Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. See how easy it looks then try it yourself! On 16 July Jenny Hartland, one of the creators of this year’s exhition Seeing the Wood and the Trees will talk about woods, what we use them for and where they are found in the windmill. More events will be held in August and September. There is no extra cost, so do come along and learn something new.
