Our Windmill is currently closed for visits until at least Easter 2021 because of Covid-19. When we reopen all dates will be posted on the website. See the event calendar for the list of shop opening times.
When we do reopen you will find knowledgeable volunteers in the mill who can give you lots of information and answer any questions you may have about Holgate mill or milling in general. There are displays on each floor depicting the life of the mill, and HWPS stone-ground flour and merchandise is available to buy.
Entry to the mill is £3 for adults, £1 for Children (aged 5-18). Entry when we are open is free to members of the Holgate Windmill Preservation Society. Please see our Membership page for details of how to join. All profits go towards the upkeep of the mill.
There is no need to book in advance for open days – just turn up during the opening hours – 11am to 4pm.
There is a WC and shop inside the mill. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the building, there is no disabled access to the windmill.
Group and school visits
